About the Winery
Klipsun Vineyard is one of the most celebrated vineyards in the Red Mountain AVA, named One of the Top 25 Vineyards in the World by Wine and Spirits Magazine in 2003. Klipsun roughly translates to sunset in the Chinook language. Located on the southwest slope of Red Mountain, the dry and warm environment is ideal for Bordeaux varietals. The oldest vines were planted in 1984. Approximately 120 acres of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Malbec, Nebbiolo, Sauvignon Blanc, and Semillon. Note: Klipsun is primarily a vineyard, not a winery with a tasting room.
