Hill Top Berry Farm And Winery
About the Winery
Hill Top Berry Farm and Winery is a second generation family farm winery and meadery located in beautiful Nelson County in the scenic Nelson 151 recreation area. First opened as a pick-your-own berry farm in 1993, it became the 51st winery to open in Virginia in 1998. Hill Top is the oldest meadery in Virginia. The farm specializes in award-winning "True to the Fruit" wines made from fruits such as peaches, cherries, plums, blackberries, blueberries, elderberries, strawberries, pears, and apples. They also produce authentic historical honey meads in styles enjoyed by ancient cultures including Vikings, Greeks, Celts, Egyptians, and Romans.
