About the Winery
Hamlet Vineyards, established in 2010, is a historic landmark of Southern Virginia. Located on 300 acres of rich countryside in Bassett, owners Butch and Virginia Hamlet have cultivated a beautiful vineyard. The property features 3,500 grapevines among rolling hills and a Tasting Terrace. Their historic home, called Eltham Manor, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register. The winery partners with Michael Shaps of Michael Shaps Wineworks. Hamlet specializes in making European style wines.

Open Sundays from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Reservations available 14 days in advance. Offers wine, sangria, weekly Sunday Special, Breads & Spreads, and signature dark chocolate truffle made with red wine. Private events hosted Tuesday-Saturday.
