About the Winery
Galway Rock Winery (formerly Galway Winery) is a woman and winemaker-owned 'garage winery' in Ballston Lake, co-founded by Kate Taylor, her father Vincent Soldani Jr., and husband Ryan Taylor. They specialize in producing New York wines with grapes from Long Island, the Finger Lakes, and the Saratoga area, including their signature Galway Rock table wines (red, white and rose) and sparkling wines made prosecco-style under the Saratoga Sparkling Co. brand. Open since 2018, the winery features a tasting room and outdoor patio. Kate and Ryan met working at a winery in Illinois before returning home to Upstate New York.

Tasting room open 1pm-7pm Wednesday-Monday, closed Tuesdays. Reservations recommended on weekends. Dog-friendly patio. Gluten-free and vegan menu options available. Serves cheeseboards and desserts. Also offers local craft beers, liquor, and signature wine cocktails called winetails. Live music and events including wine and crafts nights, UnWined yoga classes, and harvest festival.
