Frontenac Point L.L.C.
About the Winery
Family-owned winery operated by Jim, Carol, and Lawrence Doolittle in the Finger Lakes Appellation on Cayuga Lake. Started in 1979, Frontenac Point was New York farm-winery #44. The estate has a panoramic view of Cayuga Lake, with estate-grown grapes on slopes of low elevation protected by a micro-climate influenced by Ontario and Cayuga Lakes. The focus is on dry wines using barrel fermentation and modern processes. Both vinifera and old-world hybrid vines are grown including Pinot Noir, Marechal Foch, Chambourcin, Riesling, Chardonnay, and Seyval Blanc.
