The Fries family built Desert Wind Winery in Prosser in 2001. In 2021, the Fries family sold all Washington holdings including Desert Wind Winery and 470 acres of vineyards to the Lawrence/Merkle families. The Fries family has since departed the Washington wine industry. This entity may be a separate small label.
