About the Winery

Known as Ravines Wine Cellars this family-owned winery has been making dry classical terroir-driven wines for over 20 years in the Finger Lakes. Led by husband-and-wife team Morten and Lisa Hallgren. Morten was trained as an oenologist/winemaker in France. They own 130 acres of steep-sloping estate vineyards on limestone and shale soils. Pioneered the bone-dry mineral-tinged Riesling style that has become the Finger Lakes flagship. Two tasting rooms: Geneva (main cellar and tasting room on White Springs Vineyard) and Hammondsport (overlooking Keuka Lake). Considered one of the top wineries in the Finger Lakes.
