About the Winery
Named after Mount Esja, a mountain near Reykjavik, Iceland. Founded by Tanya Bjornsson, a first-generation American born to Icelandic immigrants. Produces lighter-styled, lower-alcohol, acid-driven wines. Strives to make minimally intervened Washington wine that is funky, fresh, and fun. Left Darby Winery in 2024 to focus on Esja full-time.
