About the Winery
Circle R Ranch & Vineyards is a sustainable vineyard operation in the Atlas Peak AVA of Napa Valley. Purchased in 2015 by Peter Read, the ranch sits at approximately 1,500 feet elevation at the foot of Atlas Peak. Of the ranch's approved vineyard acres, 89 are part of a 246-acre conservation easement. As of 2024, 75 acres are planted to ultra-premium Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The ranch is known for its abundant groundwater supply and rugged mountain terroir.
