About the Winery
Family-owned estate winery in Chalk Hill near Pittsburgh and Morgantown, WV, founded in 1997. Owner Sharon Klay and husband Dr. John Klay developed a passion for winemaking in the 1970s in NYC. Researched nearly 100 grape varieties suited for Pennsylvania's cool climate. Their 215-acre farm includes 15 acres of vineyards with about 60 varieties. Located in a stately 1880s antique barn. Also operates Ridge Runner Distillery across the street. Fayette County's first commercial winery.
