Chateau Nonchalant Vineyards
About the Winery
Chateau Nonchalant was established in 1999 by Weldon and Vicki Manning in one of the small valleys of the Umpqua region. The south-facing hillside was planted with four varietals including Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, Malvasia, and Syrah, using grafted rootstocks carefully selected to match the microclimate and soil type. The first production year was 2005. The vineyard limits production to preserve quality, typically yielding less than 1.5 tons per acre. The tasting room exudes old-world comfort and a warm, friendly atmosphere.
