About the Winery
A small 2-acre estate vineyard at 2,000 feet on Spring Mountain, producing only about 150 cases annually. The vineyard is planted to Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Named for the andesite volcanic rock common in the area. Owners Jo Ann and Charles Howard have lived on the property since 1984. Their wine, called Mervignon, is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with a small percentage of Cabernet Franc.
