About the Winery

American Wine Project is a nationally-recognized winery in historic Mineral Point, Wisconsin, focusing on crafting low-intervention, natural wines from locally sourced, cold-climate hybrid grapes. Founded in 2018 by winemaker Erin Rasmussen, who trained in Napa Valley, Russian River Valley, and New Zealand. The winery is housed in a former high school Tech Ed building with an acre of landscaped perennial gardens. Wines can be found in independent wine shops in New York and California.
