About the Winery

Dal Forno Romano is an iconic winery founded in 1983 by Romano Dal Forno in Val d'Illasi, in the eastern part of the Valpolicella zone, now run by his son Marco with 34 hectares planted at high density to Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Oseleta and Croatina. The estate produces just three wines, Valpolicella Superiore DOC, Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG and the rare Vigna Seré passito, using a unique computer-controlled drying system and aging exclusively in new French and American oak barriques, earning recognition as one of the finest producers in the world with an annual production of only about 5,000 cases.
