About the Winery
Corte Merci is a family winery in the hills of Jago di Negrar, in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, where the Merci family has been dedicated to viticulture since 1957 when grandfather Giovanni moved to these ideal winegrowing slopes. The estate crafts wines including the 'Capel del Prete' Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG and 'El Pontar' Ripasso from hand-harvested grapes grown between 350 and 450 meters on clay, chalky and volcanic soils using the traditional Double Veronese Pergola training system.
