About the Winery
Le Ragose is a benchmark estate in Negrar di Valpolicella, founded in 1969 by enologists Arnaldo Galli and his wife Marta on 70 acres at the highest point in the Valpolicella zone (350 meters). Marta Galli, known as 'La Signora del Vino,' was voted Wine Maker of the World in 1990 for her role in re-establishing Valpolicella's reputation and helping it achieve DOC status. Today their sons Paolo and Marco continue to produce exceptional Amarone, Valpolicella, and Ripasso from 40 acres of terraced, dry-farmed vines using large Slavonian oak botti for aging.
