Iar - Institut Agricole Régional
About the Winery
Founded in 1952, the Institut Agricole Régional (IAR) is an agricultural training school, research center, and working farm in Aosta that also produces wine from its experimental vineyards. The institute's Joseph Vaudan winery crafts small lots of indigenous variety wines including Vuillermin, Cornalin, Fumin, and Petite Arvine according to biodynamic principles, serving as a vital resource for preserving and studying the Valle d'Aosta's rare grape heritage.
