About the Winery

Terramante is a small, organic family winery near Montemolino, outside the historic hill town of Todi in central Umbria, founded by American Ev Thomas and his Italian partner Claudia Rizzi. The 2.5-hectare estate focuses on small-batch production from Sangiovese, Sagrantino, and Syrah vines, with vinification taking place in the cellar of an ancient, once-abandoned church where an altar stone from a former chapel in their vineyard now completes a centuries-old circle.
