About the Winery
Podere Marella is a pioneering organic winery founded in 1974 by Fiammetta Inga in the Colli del Trasimeno DOC area on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, making it one of the first Italian wineries to embrace organic viticulture. Today spanning 20 acres, the estate produces red, white, and rosé wines from local varieties including Sangiovese, Gamay del Trasimeno, Canaiolo, Grechetto, and Vermentino, now stewarded by Fiammetta's son Cosimo.
