About the Winery

Castello della Sala is a magnificent medieval fortress built in 1350 near Orvieto, acquired by the Antinori family in 1940, with 229 hectares of vineyards at altitudes between 220 and 470 meters. Under winemaker Renzo Cotarella since 1979, the estate has become globally renowned for pioneering aged Italian white wines including Cervaro della Sala, crafted from Chardonnay and Grechetto on soils rich in marine fossils.
