About the Winery

Tenuta Ploner (Plonerhof) in Marlengo above Merano, transformed from an apple orchard to a vineyard by the Tutzer family, covers 5 hectares on steep slopes with up to 40% incline. The estate is renowned for its extraordinary Pinot Nero vineyard containing 172 different genotypes of the variety, alongside Sauvignon and Pinot Bianco, with winemaker Erhart Tutzer pursuing the highest quality through natural cultivation and targeted yield reduction.
