About the Winery

Cantina Convento Muri-Gries, founded in the early 20th century in the historic Gries quarter of Bolzano, is a Benedictine abbey winery operated by monks from Muri, Switzerland since 1845, cultivating 35 hectares of vineyards across Bolzano, Oltradige, and surrounding areas. Red wines represent 80% of production, with particular focus on Lagrein in Riserva and Rosato (Kretzer) versions, alongside Pinot Bianco and Gewürztraminer, all guided by enologist Christian Werth's dedication to quality.
