About the Winery

Kuenhof, also known as Weingut Kuenhof Peter Pliger, is a benchmark producer near Bressanone (Brixen) in the Isarco Valley, Alto Adige, with an estate dating to the 12th century and in the Pliger family for nearly 200 years. Peter Pliger pioneered monovarietal Riesling in the Valle Isarco when he began estate bottling in 1990, and today the family cultivates 6.8 hectares of steep terraced vineyards at 550-890 meters, producing vibrant, mineral-driven white wines including Riesling, Sylvaner, Grüner Veltliner, and Gewürztraminer using natural farming and spontaneous fermentation.
