About the Winery

Klosterhof is an estate winery, wine hotel, and small distillery in Caldaro (Kaltern), Alto Adige, run by Oskar Andergassen and his son Hannes, cultivating 4.5 hectares of vineyards with a focus on gentle, sustainable practices. The estate produces approximately 35,000 bottles annually of DOC quality wines, primarily Schiava, Pinot Bianco, and Pinot Noir, following a philosophy of soft pressing and extended aging in large wooden barrels, and since 2013 has also distilled spirits from Pinot Noir, Yellow Muscat, apricots, and Williams pears.
