Cantina Kurtatsch
About the Winery
Cantina Kurtatsch is a cooperative winery in Cortaccia, Alto Adige, founded in 1900 and now comprising 190 member families cultivating 190 hectares across breathtakingly steep vineyards from 220 to 900 meters elevation, unique in Europe for such altitude variation within one municipality. Led by president Andreas Kofler, the cooperative produces distinctive terroir wines including fresh, mineral whites from high-altitude sites and long-lasting reds from the warm lower elevations, with a commitment to sustainable management and precise vinification of individual vineyard sites. Their portfolio spans from Müller Thurgau and Sauvignon to Pinot Noir, Lagrein Riserva, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
