About the Winery
Tolaini Winery was founded in 1998 by Pier Luigi Tolaini in Castelnuovo Berardenga, the southernmost area of Chianti Classico, after a zonation study identified the best grape varieties for each microclimate across 50 hectares of vineyards planted in 2000. Today led by Lia Tolaini and her family, the estate produces Sangiovese-focused Chianti Classico wines including Gran Selezione, as well as the Super Tuscan Picconero, farming organically with a focus on the great terroir of Castelnuovo Berardenga.
