About the Winery
Terre Nere is a Brunello di Montalcino estate near Castelnuovo dell'Abate, now run by third-generation siblings Francesca and Federico Vallone, whose grandfather Salvatore moved from Sicily to Tuscany in pursuit of agricultural life. The 15-hectare estate features 10 hectares of vines planted on mineral-rich soils shaped by the dormant Amiata volcano at 220-280 meters altitude, producing organic Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Rosso di Montalcino, and Riserva from Sangiovese aged in large Slavonian oak barrels.
