Tenuta Luce

About the Winery

Tenuta Luce is a prestigious estate in the hills of southwest Montalcino, founded in 1993 through a partnership between Vittorio Frescobaldi and Robert Mondavi, and now managed by Lamberto Frescobaldi. Spanning 245 hectares with 85 under vine, the estate was the first in Montalcino to produce a wine from a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot, with Sangiovese planted at higher elevations up to 450 meters on sandstone and limestone, and Merlot on lower clay plots.
