About the Winery

Sesta di Sopra is a small family-run winery founded in 1980 south of Montalcino, between Sant'Angelo in Colle and Castelnuovo dell'Abate, with 4 hectares of vineyards planted in 1982. Now in its third generation, the estate produces approximately 7,000 bottles annually of acclaimed Brunello di Montalcino from 100% Sangiovese, including the flagship Magistra from a single hectare of 40-year-old vines at 380 meters altitude, consistently earning 93-96 points from major critics.
