About the Winery
Poggio alle Forche is a Brunello di Montalcino estate founded by Giuliana Cherubini and her husband Lorenzo Turchi after 40 years of experience working for a major local producer, with vineyards in two key zones: 1 hectare near Castelnuovo dell'Abate and 2 hectares near Montalcino. The estate produces Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and Rosso di Montalcino DOC from Sangiovese grown on marly limestone and tufa rock with alberese soils, aged 24 months in 30 hectoliter Slavonian oak barrels followed by 12 months in concrete vats.
