About the Winery

Podernuovo is a winery in Montalcino founded in 1958 and now run by Federico Bartolomei, who took the reins in the late 1990s after training with masters Giacomo Tachis and Vittorio Fiore. Spanning about 11 hectares of vineyards between Montalcino and the Val d'Orcia, the estate produces Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Rosso di Montalcino, Orcia DOC wines, and Toscana IGT wines from a modern winery designed by architect Marco Lorenzoni and completed in 2013.
