About the Winery
Podere Marcampo is a historic early 18th-century farmhouse near Volterra in the Natural Park of the Balze and Calanchi, bought by the Del Duca family in 2003 and restored into a wine estate and agriturismo. The 5-hectare vineyard, planted in 2005 on clay soils rich in salts and minerals from an ancient seabed, produces IGT Toscana wines including Terrablu, Genuino, Marcampo, Severus, and Giusto alle Balze from Vermentino, Sangiovese, Merlot, Pugnitello, and Ciliegiolo, with the estate's winemaking tradition dating back to Etruscan times.
