About the Winery

Pietro Beconcini is a certified organic winery in San Miniato, in the Pisan hills of Tuscany, now run by fourth-generation winemaker Leonardo Beconcini and his wife Eva Bellagamba. The estate is renowned for its pioneering work with Tempranillo—discovered growing wild in their vineyards in 2004 and likely brought by Spanish pilgrims along the Via Francigena—as well as for producing Sangiovese, Malvasia Nera, and traditional Vin Santo from clay-rich soils that create wines with smooth tannins and impressive balance.
