About the Winery

Pietra is a historic Brunello di Montalcino estate owned by the Ferretti family, spanning 50 hectares of which 7 are planted to vineyards on prized calcareous clay soils on the southwest slope of Montalcino. Founded by Ferruccio Ferretti, who was among the 25 original producers who established the Brunello consortium, the estate has been in the family for over 100 years at Podere Pietrafocaia, with three generations currently collaborating to express their unique terroir.
