Piaggia is a historic winery in the Carmignano DOCG zone near Poggio a Caiano in the province of Prato, producing wines including Piaggia Riserva DOCG, Il Sasso DOCG, Poggio de' Colli IGT, and Viti dell'Erta Rosato from vineyards located across Carmignano and Poggio a Caiano. Founded by the family of winemaker Mauro Vannucci, the estate focuses on traditional Tuscan varieties, particularly Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, crafting wines that reflect the unique terroir of this small but prestigious appellation located just west of Florence.
