About the Winery
La Mirandola is a family-run winery in Castellina in Chianti whose story began in 1970 when grandfather Alfredo purchased a country house with vineyards, later revived in 2000 by his grandson Lorenzo Scala. The estate produces Chianti Classico DOCG wines from 95% Sangiovese and 5% Colorino, including Picus (100% Sangiovese) and La Mirandola Riserva, along with IGT Toscana reds, white, and rosé, with vineyard work done entirely by hand and winemaking supervised by oenologist Luano Bensi.
