About the Winery

Conti Capponi's Villa Calcinaia is one of Chianti Classico's most historic estates, founded in 1524 in Greve in Chianti and continuously owned by the Capponi family for over 500 years. The estate has been organically farmed since 2000, cultivating rare indigenous varieties like Mammolo and San Forte alongside Sangiovese and Merlot across 75 acres of vineyard to produce a diverse range of acclaimed wines including three single-vineyard Gran Selezione bottlings.
