About the Winery
Castello di Cacchiano is owned by Giovanni Ricasoli-Firidolfi, a descendant of the family who shaped the history of Chianti Classico, with the castle standing for over a millennium in Gaiole in Chianti. The estate spans 200 hectares with 36 hectares of vineyards on the Monti in Chianti plateau at 340-490 meters above sea level, producing Chianti Classico and Riserva from Sangiovese along with Colorino, Malvasia Nera, Canaiolo, and Merlot, with notable wines including Millennio, a pure Sangiovese produced only in exceptional vintages from meticulously selected grapes.
