About the Winery

Capanna is a historic Montalcino winery owned by the Cencioni family since 1957, located in the prestigious Montosoli area north of Montalcino, with approximately 12 hectares of vineyards and 11 hectares of olive trees. The estate was one of the first of the modern Brunello era, with founder Giuseppe Cencioni among the 25 founders of the Brunello di Montalcino Wine Consortium in 1966, and today the fourth generation continues to produce Brunello di Montalcino, Rosso di Montalcino, Sant'Antimo, and Moscadello di Montalcino.
