About the Winery
Aia Vecchia is a family-owned winery in Bolgheri, founded in 1996 by the Pellegrini family, who had been grape growers in the area for several generations. With guidance from renowned winemaker Tibor Gal, the estate produces Bordeaux-style Super Tuscan blends including Lagone (Merlot-based) and Sor Ugo (Cabernet-based) from vineyards on the lower Via Bolgherese, expressing the coastal terroir ideal for French varieties.
