About the Winery

Located in the heart of Slovenia’s Goriška Brda, the Medot estate was founded by Zvonimir Simčič—revered as the ‘Father of Rebula’—who channeled decades of experience as director of the Brda Cooperative into crafting traditional-method sparkling wines from the indigenous Rebula grape. Today his grandson Simon Simčič continues the legacy, producing elegant still Rebula wines and bottle-aged sparkling cuvées with distinctive complexity and silky, refined bubbles on the family’s three-hectare estate.
