About the Winery

Villagrande, also known as Barone di Villagrande, is a family-run estate situated on the eastern slopes of Mount Etna at 700 meters above sea level, where the Nicolosi Asmundo family has cultivated vineyards since the 18th century descending toward the Ionian Sea in a natural amphitheater. The estate grows Carricante, Nerello Mascalese, Malvasia delle Lipari, Chardonnay, and Corinto Nero, crafting wines that respect the delicate volcanic environment and offering visitors guided tours of their historic cellars, unique chestnut wood barrels, and an elegant Wine Resort immersed in Etna National Park.
