About the Winery

Vigneti Vecchio is a small, family-run estate on the northern slope of Mount Etna near Solicchiata, founded in 2016 by Carmelo Vecchio and Rosa La Guzza from just over one hectare of inherited vines up to 130 years old at approximately 2,500 feet above sea level. Carmelo, who trained for fifteen years at the nearby Passopisciaro winery, crafts Etna Rosso and Bianco wines from indigenous varieties including Nerello Mascalese and Carricante through sustainable, hands-on farming and micro-vinifications in a tiny cellar beneath their home, bottling without fining or filtration.
