About the Winery

Tenuta Whitaker is a unique viticultural project on the island of Mozia in the Marsala Lagoon, where the Whitaker Foundation and Tasca d'Almerita have recreated a vineyard that existed 2,500 years ago, cultivating Grillo using historic bush-trained, organic, dry-farmed methods. The grapes are harvested by hand in the early morning, transported by small boats across the lagoon, and vinified at Tasca d'Almerita's Regaleali facility, producing the acclaimed 'Mozia' Sicilia DOC Grillo.
