About the Winery

Aldo Viola is an iconic natural wine producer based in Alcamo, in the northwest corner of Sicily, farming seven hectares of organic vineyards on the iron-rich Timpi Rossi hills. Known for his unconventional path from professional footballer to winemaker, Aldo crafts soulful, minimal-intervention wines from indigenous varieties including Catarratto, Grillo, Perricone, Nerello Mascalese, and Syrah, with all white wines undergoing long skin maceration for periods up to eight or nine months.
