About the Winery
Antichi Vinai 1877 is one of the oldest continuously family-owned wineries on Mount Etna, Sicily, founded by Giacomo Gangemi and now in its fifth generation under Viviana Gangemi. The estate works roughly 49 hectares of vineyards distributed across multiple Etna slopes, producing around 300,000 bottles annually of Etna DOC wines exclusively from indigenous varieties including Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, and Carricante, with the flagship Koinè Etna Rosso DOC Riserva leading the range.
