About the Winery

Angiuli Donato is a historic family winery founded in 1880 in Adelfia, in the heart of the Gioia del Colle Primitivo DOC zone, now run by Donato Angiuli with his sons Vito and Giuseppe. The estate produces wines under the 'Maccone' label, named after the family's first cellarman, from old Alberello (bush-trained) vines averaging 50-80 years of age, yielding concentrated Primitivo wines with exceptionally high dry extract that are vinified in stainless steel to preserve their pure fruit expression.
