About the Winery
Antico Palmento is a family-run winery founded in 1998 by enologist Bruno Garofano in the heart of Manduria, in the Primitivo di Manduria DOC zone. Located in a restored historic 'palmento' — a traditional shallow stone fermentation vat dating back to the early 20th century — the estate produces authentic wines including Primitivo di Manduria DOP, rosé, and white wines from old bush-trained vines, vinified in underground concrete tanks following ancient traditions.
