About the Winery
Founded by Domenico 'Mimmo' Capello in Roatto in the northern Asti hills, La Montagnetta is a small estate dedicated to championing the indigenous Freisa grape, historically documented since the 16th century. With approximately eight hectares of vineyards across Roatto, Piova Massaia, and San Paolo Solbrito, the estate produces Freisa d'Asti in still, sparkling, and rosato versions, alongside Barbera d'Asti and a distinctive white blend of Viognier, Sauvignon, and Chardonnay.
