About the Winery

Fontanassa is a historic winery in Rovereto di Gavi, in the heart of the Gavi DOCG zone in Piedmont, producing exceptional white wines from the Cortese grape on 43 hectares of estate vineyards. The estate's fortified farmhouse dates back to the 16th century, and since 1988 the Gemme family has crafted Gavi of remarkable minerality and elegance from clay and iron-rich soils.
